GENERAL CONCEPT

My heart yearns for my native land.

Maohinesia concept

Ma'ohi=My Life is born in GOD,
source of my existence on this Land,
who saw me being born.

In origin, God created the pure, worthy and perfect man.
From generation in generation, the Culture of the man is made of his language, his symbols, his knowledge to make and his knowledge to be to the image of his Creator who was the " First and Truth Maohi".

This intimate thought, caused in me, as well ethnic impulses as I had idea and a strong will to participate in the Life of my Country, through my own culture, through my traditions and through my habits, to be cultivated of it, to share also with the others, by accomplishing it wishes that is very dear to me, the creation of this Association relating to Polynesia, one of three main ethnocultural divisions (with Mélanésia and Micronesia) his three (3) culminating points as:

1. RAPA NUI
2. HAWAI'I
3. AOTEAROA

As well as, all the different Islands and Archipelagos, being in her sacred, with open sky like:

4. RAROTONGA
5. TOKELAU
6. NIUE
7. TONGA
8. SAMOA
9. TUVALU
10. PITCAIRN
11. FIJI
12. UVEA & FUTUNA
13. POLYNESIE-TAHITI NUI

Because, our Life is very precious on this Land, Natives of the Country encircled with this beauty edenic Nature! Such was the work of the Supreme Godhead of our Creator.

Iaorana,

I have honour and pleasure to present to you, our Association relating to the Polynesian Triangle. Because since months, further to the multiplication of meetings between several persons of several horizons, noting the divergences which exist according to the traditions and habits, due to its disparity in this vast Pacific Ocean:

Diversity of national membership
Diversity on the traditional conservation of the habits
Diversity on the cultural infiltration from abroad

Then, it strongly planed the desire to establish a regrouping of persons emanating from cultural domain, touching Art and Folklore, exits of different places, to create a great Association and that his objectives will not limit themselves only to the Polynesia (territory become French which does not form a region distinct from geographical point of view) but in the Polynesian Triangle entirely.

Group owes now, to search possible fusion or creation of different sections with of course, concrete projects.
This being, that idea relies on the Union of all Polynesians, in order to show to the knowledge of the World, our considerable existence.

The Association has seen day one Saturday November 16th, 2002 before pleiads of Matari'i i ni' a (November 20th ) which are signs before racers of a season of abundance, and carry the name of :

( My Life, My Land )

The Denomination of English Association, for his international dimension in this vast Pacific Ocean and subtitled in tahitien, To' u Ora To' u Ai'a (My Life, My Land), for its dimension local in Polynesia, but very universal. Because each one, according to its Polynesian origins, alive in the Polynesian Triangle will be found there.

- It has as object:

* to reinforce the links between our Cousins of the Polynesian Triangle and us,
* to promote traditional Art, the Polynesian folklore, the traditional Sport and the Polynesian languages through our cultural activities,
* to safeguard our Identity "Ma' ohi" and our cultural Inheritance

* to show our considerable existence to the knowledge of the World,
* to search funds which will allow the taking care of the different accruing expenses wait of the association,
* to look after their blossoming,
* to research them,
* to coordinate its actions within the limits of its purposes, to represent them to any private or public institutions and to act legally in their name on general plan, to assure a link perms between his members.

Why such initiative? In this title, our association wants to take the torchlight which had been lit by our ancients. They had begun a work of exellent vision of the future, because newly, the maohi people made the large ones progres to keep and protect her identity, his language, his arts, his traditions and the values which link us with the past.

On the scale of Pacific, the Polynesian People, represent a considerable and important mass, because the Association opens in all, in the Polynesian of birth, heart or adoption, eager to stick there.
